Muscular Anatomy Typing Practice

Muscles look nothing like their labels on the page — they blend, they wrap, and their names overlap. Our muscular challenge shows a rotating body, drops a scanner on a specific superficial muscle, and asks you to type its correct anatomical name. Full names accepted (biceps brachii), common names accepted (biceps), typos forgiven.

Anterior group

  • Deltoid, pectoralis major, biceps brachii
  • Rectus abdominis, external oblique
  • Quadriceps femoris, sartorius, tibialis anterior

Posterior group

  • Trapezius, latissimus dorsi, triceps brachii
  • Gluteus maximus
  • Hamstrings (biceps femoris, semitendinosus, semimembranosus)
  • Gastrocnemius, soleus

How the game handles muscles

Because muscles occupy regions rather than points, the scanner highlights the muscle's superficial belly and holds the lock for you to type. Left/right handedness of the label is ignored — 'deltoid' is accepted regardless of which side the scanner locked onto.
