How scoring works

Graded like a claims audit

  1. 01

    Exact-match fields

Codes, IDs, dates and amounts must match character for character. Formats such as MM/DD/YYYY and $0,000.00 count.

  2. 02

    Notes and descriptions

Scored by similarity, so a small typo costs a little instead of the whole field.

  3. 03

    Review-and-flag steps

Scored on matches: missing a problem and flagging a correct field both cost points.

  4. 04

    Pass mark

90% on each drill, and timed drills must be submitted inside the clock. Your best score is kept; a lower retake never removes a pass.

All patients, providers, payers, member IDs and claim numbers are fictional. TDX- and TPX- codes are training codes, not real ICD-10 or CPT codes. The certificate is a TypingDrills.net training credential, not an industry certification, and is not affiliated with any payer, employer or certifying body.
